No yen for Yen?

Where are you going, my beautiful friend?
Is this the road that we take 'til the end?
And if we break down are we left behind?
Is this the highway of all mankind?
Get up and clean your teeth and have a shave
It's 1 am let's go out to a rave
One more in before we hit that grave
It's hotter than a microwave, wave

Fifteen years ago, after the Great Financial Fix, I wrote what had been done most likely assured the next "crisis" would be led by currencies. So, my interest perked a little with this weekend's US Treasury's prop of the Yen, which to say the least was unusual, not to mention such interventions never really work.

In the 2008 financial fiasco, the Yen was one of a handful of "safe-haven" currencies money fled to, not so today it would seem. The Japanese story of today is still greatly shaped by the collapse of their financial bubble in the early 90s. One immediate catalyst, Japan imports all their oil and Trump's war has made this more expensive.

This video was shot in LA. There's a couple shots inside the Mayan Theater. I was there, great show.
