Wealth & Aristocracy

This is a nice short look at family Ellison and the growing entrenchment of America's aristocracy. There was a point in American history when American aristocracy would be a contradiction in terms. Most especially, with the majority, certainly not all, those white boys gathered in Philadelphia 250 years ago. Nonetheless, all signed a document beginning with a democratic principle of self-evident truth that all men were created equal. They concluded by pledging to this notion, their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor, though sacred and honor are both anachronisms here in the 21st century.
